Ruth Ann's Story

W e l l ..... I can hardly believe that we, the class of 1965, celebrate 46 years since graduation from SHS this year. Wow, what a trip. I'm gonna share a brief summary of my life. Maybe you are interested and maybe you are not. If not, there is certainly no obligation to read it.
A month after graduation I married my high school sweetheart, Maurice Golden. We had two beautiful daughters: Tambra Annette and Kimberly Paige. After 14 years of marriage, we went our separate ways. I married my second husband, Charles Jarvis, in 1979. In April of 2010, we separated and still are to this day. We have some loose ends to tie up before our divorce can be final.
Throughout my life I've lived in Spencer and Parkersburg, WV; Raleigh, Erwin and Dunn, NC; Fredonia and Dunkirk, NY; and Cortland, OH.
I have four fantastic grandchildren: Tyler, 19; Ryan, 17; Marissa, 8; and Matthew 6. They are my world.
I have worked in several fields mostly secretarial and bookkeeping. To add a little spice to life, I was a florist and a wedding planner for a period of time.

vior, Jesus Christ, granted me when He died on the cross for me.
I have done a fair amount of travelling including: The New England States, California, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, Mexico, The Caribbean, Florida and several other states. I've seen and done a lot but home is alwas my favorite place (wherever home happens to be). I've enjoyed all of my homes and have adapted well in every situation.
My favorite things to do, besides spending time with my family, is travelling, reading, gardening, attending gospel concerts, hanging out with friends and meeting new ones. I believe that every individual that crosses my path does so for a reason. I have LOTS of friends from all the many places I've lived. I've lost touch with many friends from high school and reconnected with some through facebook.
None of us know how many days we have left but I want to live the ones that I have to the best of my ability. When one chapter is finished, I believe you should let it go and move on to the next chapter. I try to maintain a positive outlook and a good sense of humor. I hope that I can leave this world knowing that I made a positive difference in the lives that I've touched.
